Our client school in the London borough of Southwark are looking for a Complex Needs Teacher on a permanent/ full time basis to start in September 2016.
The successful candidate will be teaching Secondary aged SEND students between the ages of 11-19, with a range of mixed and complex needs including ASD, Down syndrome, Speech, language and communication difficulties, ADHD and physical disabilities.
This an excellent special school which provides a high standard of education for secondary aged pupils with a range of complex needs including Down’s syndrome, Autism and complex medical needs. The pupils are enthusiastic and love coming to school and enjoy the friendly, fun and welcoming environment.
The successful candidate will be able to show confidence and passion for teaching, showing SEND experience and have a strong interest and enthusiasm in developing further as a teacher in this setting. You will be teaching students with a range of special and complex needs and will have teaching assistants to support you. You should be able to show that you are able to manage the support staff and have the ability to deliver outstanding classroom practise to raise pupil achievement and work with pupils on P level.
In the schools latest Ofsted report in February 2013 the school received a ‘good’ grade and stated the teaching is consistently good, with pupils from different backgrounds and needs achieving well. The pupils have a positive attitude to learning and get on well with each other. Pupils say that they feel safe, enjoy school and their attendance is above average.

Salary will MPS plus any SEN points depending upon experience.
