Are you an experienced Maths Teacher, having taught children with EBD? If so, this role could be for you.
Our client school based in Sutton are looking for a full time teacher. This post is an immediate start to the end of the academic year, with a view to going permanent in September.
The pay rate ranges from £130 to £160 a day depending on experience. Once permanent the pay rate is equal to the main pay scale, however is negotiable depending on experience and will depend on TRL points and SEN points.
You will be teaching students with emotional behavioural disorder and will have teaching assistants to support you.
In the schools latest Ofsted report in January 2014, the school received a ‘good’ grade and stated that the students made good progress during their time at the school. The students particularly progressed in English and Maths and the proportion of students achieving GCSE passes is now increasing. Students say that the school is a safe place to be and the teaching is good.
The closest train station to the school is Mitcham Junction, however the school is also not too far away from Hackbridge station.
You will need:
• A proven record of teaching Maths
• Be able to prepare and teach effective lessons, taking into account the individual needs of the students
• Full teacher status
• Registered DBS or be prepared to carry out a new DBS application
This is a nice little all boys school with both primary and secondary aged children, with ages of the students ranging from 5 to 16. There are a total of 63 boys in the school and the staff are empathetic and approachable. The facilities at the school are good and there is a large equipped sports hall, as well as a smaller gym for the learners to use. The school has a range of specialist classrooms including craft design, food technology and music to name just a few. The school is extremely sports orientated and their basketball team has recently won a local tournament.
