Complex Needs Teaching Assistant

‍We are seeking a dedicated and experienced SEND Teaching Assistant to join a specialist school, supporting students with Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD).

‍Essential Requirements

‍- At least 3 months experience working with SEN, preferably in a school setting or other relevant environment.

- Proven experience supporting children with PMLD, including those with complex needs and disabilities.

- In-depth knowledge of SEND best practices, including structured learning strategies and sensory regulation techniques.

‍Ideal Candidate

‍The ideal candidate will have:

- A patient, calm, and empathetic approach, with a passion for working in a specialist education setting.

- Excellent communication and behaviour management skills, with the ability to adapt to individual student needs.

- The ability to work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to create an inclusive and supportive environment.

‍Role Details

‍- Location: Croydon

- Days: Monday to Friday

- Hours: 08:30 - 15:30

- Pay: £85 - £100 per day (depending on experience)

- Start Date: ASAP

‍Responsibilities

‍- Provide tailored support to students with PMLD in both classroom and one-to-one settings.

- Assist with communication, sensory regulation, and emotional support.

- Implement structured learning strategies to promote engagement and independence.

- Work collaboratively with teachers and therapists to create an inclusive and supportive environment.
