We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Physics Teacher to join a fantastic team in Wimbledon. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality physics education to students, fostering a positive learning environment, and contributing to the overall academic success of the school.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective physics lessons to students in accordance with the national curriculum.
  • Develop and implement schemes of work, lesson plans, and educational activities that cater to the varying needs and abilities of students.
  • Assess, record, and report on the development, progress, and attainment of students.
  • Provide timely and constructive feedback to students to support their learning and development.
  • Maintain an organised and stimulating classroom environment conducive to learning.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and school events as required. 
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and share best practices and resources.
  • Contribute to the pastoral care and well-being of students.
  • Stay up-to-date with developments in physics education and continue professional development.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). 
  • Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) with a specialization in Physics or a related field. 
  • Proven experience teaching physics at secondary school level. 
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for physics.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
