Job Purpose:

The school is seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team, supporting students with Autism.

‍

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide 1:1 and group support to students with Autism.

- Assist teachers in planning, delivering, and evaluating lessons.

- Develop and implement behavioral support strategies.

- Encourage independence, self-esteem, and social skills.

- Monitor student progress and report to teachers and parents.

‍

Requirements:

- Experience working with children with Autism.

- Level 2/3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning (optional).

- Enhanced DBS clearance.

- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.

‍

Desirable:

- Experience working in a primary SEN setting.

- Training in Autism-specific strategies (e.g., TEACCH, PECS).
