About The Institution:

The Institution is a specialist SEN school providing tailored education for students aged 11-19 with ASD, Complex Needs, and PMLD.

Job Purpose:

The Institution is seeking a compassionate and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team, providing individualized support to students with complex needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 and group support to students with ASD, complex needs, and PMLD.

• Assist teachers in planning, delivering, and evaluating lessons.

• Develop and implement behavioral support strategies.

• Provide personal care support.

• Encourage independence, self-esteem, and social skills.

Requirements:

• Experience working with students with ASD, complex needs, and PMLD.

• Level 2/3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning (optional).

• Enhanced DBS clearance.

• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.

Desirable:

• Experience working in a secondary SEN setting.

• Training in ASD-specific strategies (e.g., TEACCH, PECS).

• Personal care experience.
