Teaching Assistant - Special Needs
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Teaching Assistant to support students with SEN and Autism, helping them to reach their full potential.
Essential Requirements
- At least 3 months experience working with SEND or Autism, preferably in a school setting or other relevant environment
- Proven ability to support students with complex needs and disabilities
- In-depth knowledge of SEND best practices, including structured learning strategies and sensory regulation techniques
Responsibilities
- Provide tailored support to students with SEN and Autism in both classroom and one-to-one settings
- Assist with communication, sensory regulation, and emotional support- Implement structured learning strategies to promote engagement and independence
- Work collaboratively with teachers and therapists to create an inclusive and supportive environment
Ideal Candidate
- Patient, calm, and empathetic approach
- Excellent communication and behaviour management skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and other support staff
Role Details
- Location: Greenwich
- Days: Monday to Friday
- Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm
- Pay: £85 - £100 per day (depending on experience)
- Start Date: ASAP
