SEMH Teaching Assistant

Seeking a dedicated and experienced SEMH Teaching Assistant to join the team. As a SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will have the opportunity to support primary aged pupils with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs in a nurturing and inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide one-to-one and group support to students with SEMH needs

- Assist in the implementation of individualized behavior plans

- Support students in accessing the curriculum and developing social skills

- Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to create a positive learning environment

- Promote positive behavior and emotional well-being among students

Skills and Qualifications:

- Experience working with students with SEMH needs

- Understanding of behavior management strategies

- Ability to build positive relationships with students and colleagues

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Patience, empathy, and resilience

- Relevant qualifications in Education or Special Educational Needs (SEN) are desirable
